Production of hydrogen and carbon from natural gas or methane using barrier discharge non-thermal plasma

摘要: Hydrogen and carbon are produced by decomposing natural gas or methane in a field of barrier discharge non-thermal plasma. The apparatus for carrying out this process has two concentric elongated electrodes, one internal external, dielectric between them, so arranged that there is suitable gap the electrode barrier. A high voltage pulser connected to electrodes and, when powered, creates plasma passing through gap, thus decomposition into its components, namely hydrogen carbon.
