Adsorption and photocatalytic study of dye degradation over the g-C3N4/W18O49 nanocomposite

摘要: A heterogeneous nanocomposite (NC) of g-C 3 N 4 /W 18 O 49 based on the coupling W nanorods (NRs) with graphitic carbon nitride (g-C 4 ) sheets has been synthesised via a solvothermal method. The as-synthesised products were characterised by X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectrometry, and transmission electron microscopy. NC exhibited very strong adsorption ability towards methylene blue (MB) dye demonstrated high removal efficiency 99.14% after 0.5 h equilibration in dark. Compared to 4 NRs, higher efficiencies both MB methyl orange (MO) dyes combination degradation. photocatalytic process followed Z-scheme mechanism. This work provides an efficient strategy for synthesis 4 -based photocatalysts.
