摘要: In this paper, we study the physical and psychophysical effects of digital sampling. particular, how spatial sampling (the geometry pixel array) luminance distribution gray levels) affect image its perception. Taking Thin-Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display (TFT/LCD) as our model, have simulated four candidate geometries on a color graphics display. We made measurements visual detectability, reaction time, rated quality function grayscale. Our major findings are that (1) array exerts influence performance, (2) for suprathreshold judgments quality, asymptotic performance is reached with few 2-3 bits grayscale, (3) effect grayscale depends exposure duration.
