摘要: This article explores the nature of Aboriginal demands for a citizenship regime grounded in substantive recognition cultural difference and inherent rights Mexico Canada. It provides an overview different evolution each country but focuses on two recent development projects, Puebla Panama Plan Mackenzie Valley pipeline These cases demonstrate ways which neo‐liberal globalism is reshaping rights. While contemporary rhetoric recognizes difference, models employed effectively separate territory from ideas self‐government, culture identity. The concludes that turn construction undercuts potentially much richer conceptions Indigenous offered by First Peoples North America.
