摘要: Abstract Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of arthritis worldwide. The incidence this disease rising and its treatment poses an economic burden. Two early targets knee OA include predominant symptom pain, cartilage damage in joint. Current treatments have been beneficial treating but none as effective total arthroplasty (TKA). However, while TKA end-stage solution disease, it invasive expensive procedure. Therefore, innovative regenerative engineering strategies should be established these could defer or annul need for a TKA. Several biomaterial cell-based therapies are currently development shown promise both preclinical clinical studies. use advanced biomaterials stem cells independently conjunction to treat potentially reduce pain regenerate focal articular damage. In review, we discuss pathogenesis explore novel options being studied, along with some their limitations.
