摘要: In the United States, an estimated 6.5 million children have asthma (Akinbami, 2005). Due to chronic and unpredictable nature of asthma, condition places excessive demands on primary caregiver. The complexity management has required parents take increased responsibility for assessment treatment their child's (Dickinson & Dignam, 2002). Many families are turning Internet information support. purpose this study was gain insight into "lived" experiences online caregivers support group. Archived messages posted discussion list were analyzed using phenomenological thematic analysis. Five themes emerged providing meaning caregiving provision social Online narratives provide a unique way understanding mother's enacting caregiver role. Understanding everyday lives can help nurses other health care providers better meet needs.
