摘要: The problem of control the vertical instability is studied for a massless filamentary plasma with finite resistivity included shell and active coil. Stability boundaries are determined. system can be stabilized up to critical decay index, which predominantly function geometry passive stabilizing shell. A second, smaller, coils, determines limit stability in absence derivative gain circuit. also numerically order incorporate non-linear effects power supply dynamics. bandwidth requirement determined by open-loop growth rate instability. number coil options available on DIII-D tokamak. It found that many coils will not provide adequate stabilization use inboard advantageous index. hybrid utilizes such time-scale faster than vessel L/R time proposed. Experiments carried out confirm appropriateness model. Using results model study, plasmas indices exceeding 90% index have been stabilized. Measurement position discussed.
