摘要: In order to explain the mechanism of matrix effects in inductively coupled plasma high resolution mass spectrometry (ICP-HRMS), physical properties micro-plasmas observed just behind sampler and skimmer MS interface were measured with an optical fiber system. The system showed: some remarkable differences between emission characteristics skimmer; band polyatomic species; spatial distribution Ar lines. micro-plasma sampler, due water (OH H2O+) was strong excitation temperature for (Ar Tex) 3230 K, while, skimmer, extensive N2 Tex value 8120 K. An accelerating voltage added most important parameter affecting physical ionization efficiencies analytes. all temperatures obtained experimentally, Tex, rotational OH Mg, independent voltage. vibrational decreased increase skimmer. Also affected formation ion species, because weakly bound species such as ArX+ formed after through collision-induced reactions neutral X+. Theoretical dissociation equilibrium showed a tendency decrease increasing voltage, showing same trend micro-plasma, not but the skimmer.
