摘要: Grass tetany is a disease affecting cattle, sheep, and goats when limited amounts of ultilizable Mg are available. Genetic environmental considerations on forage critical if agronomists to provide forages with low potential. Two genotypes tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) that differed in inherent concentration were grown controlled environments determine growth temperature interval between harvests could overcome genetic influences concentration. Vegetative herbage genotype B5-62 had concentrations 0.38 0.290%, at the high (25/20 C day/night) (17/12 temperature, respectively. Genotype B17-42 was inherently concentration, values 0.22 0.14% for Calcium K/(Ca+Mg) ratio little influenced by two treatments. well below 2.2 (meq/100 g dry matter) level ratio, while above most Interval harvest significantly altered onlv K both being lowest from treatments harvested less frequently. It concluded control these sufficiently strong so selected remained relative over temperatures three intervals.
