摘要: The diets of sympatric Barn Owls Tyro alba and Australian Kestrels Falco cenchroides on islands off the coast Western Australia were studied by pellet analysis. House Mice Mus domesticus comprised bulk diet Owl (83% volume), with other species small mammals birds constituting most remainder diet. In contrast, reptiles insects major prey categories in Kestrel (38% 39%, respectively, 23%. dietary differences between two reflect diurnal hunting activity nocturnal hunting, especially for mice, Owl.
