A Wired World: The Evolving Geography of Submarine Cables and the Shift to Asia

摘要: Submarine cables for telecommunications were an early catalyst of globalization and transnational corporate production networks they continue to facilitate global economic activity. This article describes increasing demand from Internet mobile phones as well new uses cables, such oil exploration high-energy physics.
