摘要: The Free/Open Source Software (F/OSS) research community is growing across and within multiple disciplines. This faces a new unusual situation. traditional difficulties of gathering enough empirical data have been replaced by issues dealing with enormous amounts freely available public from many disparate sources (online discussion forums, source code directories, bug reports, OSS Web portals, etc.). Consequently, these are being discovered, gathered, analyzed, used to support multidisciplinary research. However at present, no means exist for assembling under common access points frameworks comparative, longitudinal, collaborative Gathering maintaining large F/OSS collections reliably making them usable present several challenges. For example, current projects usually rely on direct to, mining raw groups that generate it, both methods require unique effort each corpus, or even updating existing corpora. In this paper, we identify needs critical factors in disciplines, suggest recommendations design global infrastructure multi-disciplinary into development.
