摘要: A Cu(II)–poly(N-vinylimidazole) (PVI) complex was prepared and used to catalyze the oxidative polymerization of 2,6-dimethylphenol (DMP) form poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) in water. The stoichiometric ratio between imidazole groups PVI copper ions found be 4 when continuous variation analysis applied. Compared with a conventional Cu(II)–low-molecular-weight ligand complex, high catalytic efficiency observed DMP catalyzed by Cu(II)–PVI complex. influence concentration imidazole/Cu(II) molar on studied. Both yield molecular weight PPO increased significantly catalyst decreased ratio. also played an important role improvement efficiency. may have been due effect substrate. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
