摘要: Abstract An experimental and numerical study concerning the tensile behaviour of adhesively-bonded carbon–epoxy scarf repairs is presented, using angles ranging from 2° to 45°. A mixed-mode cohesive damage model adequate for ductile adhesives was used simulate adhesive layer. The laws layer, composite interlaminar intralaminar (in transverse fibre directions) in pure modes I II, necessary numerically failure paths, were previously characterized an inverse method. Validation this methodology accomplished terms repair initial stiffness, maximum load corresponding displacement, as well mode. good agreement between predictions experiments showed that proposed can be successfully applied joints or bonded with adhesives.
