摘要: Large sections of the 3′ untranslated region (UTR) hepatitis C virus (HCV) were deleted from an infectious cDNA clone, and RNA transcripts seven deletion mutants tested sequentially for infectivity in a chimpanzee. Mutants lacking all or part terminal conserved poly(U–UC) unable to infect chimpanzee, indicating that both regions are critical vivo. However, third region, variable was able tolerate destroyed two putative stem–loop structures within this region. Mutant VR-24 containing proximal 24 nt UTR viable chimpanzee seemed replicate as well undeleted parent virus. The became viremic 1 week after inoculation with mutant VR-24, HCV genome titer increased over time during early acute infection. Therefore, but not seem be vivo HCV.
