摘要: An assessment of the effectiveness synthetic luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LH-RH) in treatment idiopathic normogonadotropic oligoasthenospermia was made 21 subjects selected on basis at least three previous sperm counts; a history long-standing infertility; normal urinary gonadotropin excretion; serum levels hormone, follicle-stimulating and testosterone; lack any evidence other clinical, endocrine, vascular, infectious, and/or urologic involvement. On testicular biopsy, 14 patients showed hypospermatogenesis or arrest up to spermatid stage (group 1), while remaining 7 had more severe spermatogenetic disorders 2). Libido potency were previously unaltered all subjects. Five group 1 five 2 received intramuscular injection 100 500 mug LH-RH daily for no less than 60 days (long-term treatment); remainder drug 30-day periods, with intervals (short-term treatment). Qualitative quantitative results during after frank improvement spermatozoal concentration, vitality, motility patients, particularly those undergoing long-term (three under these conditions able impregnate their wives). The regimen also resulted predomantly qualitative improvements (one impregnated his wife). short-term effective. Improvements either usually occurred end of, after, treatment. Six seven who followed long period retained values above preliminary 90 150 discontinued. Increased libido spontaneously reported by 15 20 30 start administration LH-RH.
