摘要: In this article, we explored ways youth, traditionally silenced, engaged with popular culture to voice experiences and challenge dominant narratives of public schools daily lives. We also considered how educators use as critical pedagogy inner city youth. Through ethnographic bricolage case study methods, drawing from cultural studies pedagogy, have presented two studies. One highlighted a school used theatre literacy connect students’ experiences. The second focused on in rap songs. These highlight the risks, challenges, potential for building respectful reciprocal relationships students. Key words: music, theatre, ethnography, bricolage, study, schools, poverty Dans cet les auteurs analysent comment des jeunes, d’ordinaire reduits au silence, utilisent la populaire pour exprimer leur vecu et contester discours dominants ecoles publiques. Ils etudient egalement educateurs ont recours comme outil de pedagogie critique aupres jeunes quartiers defavorises. Utilisant un montage ethnographique s’appuyant sur etudes culturelles critique, ils presentent deux cas. L’une met en relief une ecole s’est servie du theâtre litteratie faire le lien avec eleves.
