摘要: End grain balsa is widely used as a core material in sandwich structures, especially marine applications where the shear properties are of major importance. In recent study, new structure that better utilizes anisotropy was designed and numerically analyzed. An improved stiffness predicted with this core. present manufacturing methods for were developed more extensive experiments performed to verify improvement well evaluate strength.
