摘要: Background. Software programs for visualization and analysis of digital orthodontic models, apart from presenting the necessary features diagnosis treatment planning, also need to be user-friendly. This characteristic refers software' usability, a measure that evaluates how easy it is use by specific group professionals. The aim this study was compare usability free available versions two software models. Methods. Digimodel® OrthoCAD® were evaluated through their interface executing following procedures: malocclusion classification models (arch-length tooth-size discrepancies). Results. had an installer only Windows platform, occupied less than 110 megabytes virtual space read files respective manufacturers. None possessed Portuguese as language option. Both allowed in different axes options present initial screen, at click. For model analysis, both required tooth performed calculations automatically. However, program intuitive because option these actions among several others, within menus, which could cause confusion during navigation. In addition, marking points did not always obey clicked site. Conclusion. access version exhibited limitations related language, supported file format even execution diagnosis. Although inferior, meet orthodontists' clinical demand against factors versions.
