摘要: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a fairly common rheumatic disease among southern Chinese in Hong Kong, with an estimated point prevalence of 0.06% (0.1% women). Compared the Caucasians, renal and anti-Ro antibody appear to be more our SLE patients. Whether these are related certain genetic or environment factors remains speculative. Nephritis its treatment major causes organ damage population. With early diagnosis complications, judicious use immunosuppressive therapy achieve prompt control activity, better supportive care for disease- treatment-related morbidity, survival patients has improved. In past decade, considerable effort been spent on education, medical training research aiming improve quality SLE. More grants funding being sought basic clinical researches subsidising receive newer less toxic options.
