摘要: ABSTRACTThe influence of Reynolds number and blockage ratio on the vortex dynamics a trapezoidal bluff body placed inside circular pipe is studied experimentally numerically. Low aspect ratio, high curved end conditions (junction body), axisymmetric upstream flow with shear turbulence are some intrinsic features this class flows which have been scarcely addressed in literature. A large range (200:200,000) (ReD) covered study, encompassing all three regimes (laminar, transition turbulent). Four different defined based distinct Strouhal (St)–ReD relation: steady, laminar irregular, turbulent. The wake steady regime stationary no oscillations layer. termed as irregular owing to shedding. shedding observed be symmetric. emergence ...
