摘要: Consensus conferences are social techniques which involve bringing together a group of scientific experts, and sometimes also non-experts, in order to increase the public role science related policy, amalgamate diverse often contradictory evidence for hypothesis interest, achieve consensus or at least appearance among scientists. For that set out evidence, I propose three desiderata: Inclusivity (the consideration all available evidence), Constraint achievement some agreement intersubjective assessments interest), Evidential Complexity evaluation based on plurality relevant evidential criteria). Two examples suggest can readily satisfy Complexity, but do not as easily Constraint. end by discussing relation between inclusivity desiderata.
