摘要: In this paper we investigate the relationships between flow and morphology in immiscible diluted non-Newtonian (LDPE PA6) blends. Both rheological rheo-optical techniques have been used. The effect of a steady shear on blend microstructure has studied at various rates. Moreover, effects compatibilizing agent rheology analysed. compatibilizer causes decrease average drop sizes stabilization during flow. An attempt to relate evolution volume-average radius with carried out by following approach generally pursued for Newtonian polymer rescaling both capillary number viscosity ratio using shear-rate-dependent constituents allows roughly estimate rate wherein severe break-up phenomena occur uncompatibilized system. Conversely, quantitative discrepancies experimental data theoretical expectations found compatibilized blend. coarsening behaviour early stages an annealing process rest studied, simple model proposed describe volume growth rate. coalescence suppression detected could be due shielding related presence copolymer layers interface phases.
