摘要: Amebas have been observed so seldom in the large intestine of man that even R. Leuckart, a thorough and experienced parasitologist doubted their existence considered only previously published case (by Lambl) to an example abnormal cellular forms mistaken for amebas. The at hand, which I had opportunity observe during course several months Prof. Eichwald's clinic, therefore, is great interest. Case history. J. Markow, 24-year-old farmer from Archangel territory, was admitted clinic 3 November 1873. According his statement, he came capitol first time summer 1871, looking work; while there, became ill with stubborn, violent diarrhea continued finally weakened him unable sit up bed. In this condition sent home where diminished slowly general improved; yet, beginning 1872, still weak found unfit military service.
