摘要: Summary: This paper examines the relationship between state-funded secondary school performance and local residential property values in seven major English cities. When choosing which they wish their children to attend, parents will be aware of school’s Key Stage 3, GCSE A- level examinations. We suggest that examination results measure parental choice most closely correlated with. Therefore, schools with good “oversubscribed” more students attend these than there are places available. Schools then have develop mechanisms for rationing available - central strategies at moment is geographical proximity family home choice. Parents thus a strong incentive purchase houses “catchment” area high performing schools. Our this case, stimulating price premium markets 1% 3% each additional 10% point improvement pass rate
