摘要: Abstract In the present paper, fossil record of archosaurs (dinosaurs, crocodylomorphs and pterosaurs) southern Pyrenees before Cretaceous–Palaeogene (K–Pg) transition is revised. On basis this record, a well-dated succession dinosaurs other established within polarity magnetochrons C30 C29r. Almost 150 sites with dinosaur remains have been identified, containing hadrosauroid ornithopods, titanosaur sauropods theropods, as well egg tracks. Fossil are abundant in C29r, disappearing abruptly near top “Lower Red Garumnian” unit Tremp Formation. Thus should be located very close to, or coinciding K–Pg boundary. These data suggest that disappearance was geologically abrupt Pyrenees, but to date there no incontrovertible evidence presence impact level marks Interestingly, what highlighted vertebrate-rich upper Maastrichtian continental were replaced by similar sedimentological facies characterized virtual absence not only also any vertebrate remain throughout lower Palaeocene. This could mean Danian terrestrial ecosystems took longer than areas world recover their biodiversity after K−Pg extinction event.
