摘要: Little is known on maize germplasm adapted to the African highland agro-ecologies. In this study, we analyzed high-density genotyping by sequencing (GBS) data of 298 inbred lines (i) assess extent genetic purity, relatedness, and population structure, (ii) identify genomic regions that have undergone selection (selective sweeps) in response adaptation environments. Nearly 91% pairs differed 30-36% scored alleles, but only 32% had relative kinship coefficient <0.050, which suggests presence substantial redundancy allelic composition may be due repeated use fewer backgrounds (source germplasm) during line development. Results from different relatedness structure analyses revealed three groups, generally agrees with pedigree information breeding history, less so heterotic groups endosperm modification. We identified 944 single nucleotide polymorphic (SNP) markers fell within 22 selective sweeps harbored 265 protein-coding candidate genes some functions. Details functions differences diversity among predicted based multivariate methods been discussed.
