摘要: The clinical manifestations of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) consist three successive stages: febrile, toxic and convalescent. stage is the critical period, which may manifest as circulatory disturbance or even profound shock in some patients. We attempted to determine predictors for risk den- gue syndrome (DSS) during febrile stage. One hundred one children with acute illness were enrolled study, a mean age 11 years old. diagnosis included (DF) 21 cases, DHF grade I 30 II 33 grades III IV 10 cases; other illnesses (OFI) 7 cases used controls. Complete blood counts, coagulation tests, von Willebrand factor antigens (VWF:Ag) ristocetin cofactor activity (VWF:Rcof) determined daily hospitalization 2-4 weeks after discharge from hospital. results revealed any following abnor- mal laboratory findings served predictor DSS: increase hematocrit >25%, platelet count 44 seconds, prothrombin time >14 thrombin >16 seconds VWF:Ag VWF:Rcof >210%. relative ranged 4.8 10.9. Simple investigations complete count, coagula- tion test more sophisticated factor, are helpful predicting DSS
