摘要: Increasing vibration serviceability problems of modern pedestrian structures have drawn researchers’ attention to detailed modelling and assessment walking-induced on floors footbridges. Stochastic nature human walking unknown mechanisms their interaction with the structure surrounding environment, make it difficult simulate. Ignoring these complexities has rendered current design methods a rough approximation reality which often leads considerable over or under-estimation structural response yielding unreliable performance.
