摘要: One of the key roles performed by pathologists is determination presence or absence tumor cells in clinical samples. This basis for most approaches to staging, monitoring response treatment, and detecting relapse neoplasia and, as such, a critical step determining course patient management. Pathologists have utilized variety approaches, continually seeking improve performance thus outcome. The literature reflects this quest, including reports assessing increased sensitivity afforded sectioning, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, more recently, molecular detection blood, bone marrow, lymph node goal is, course, accurate disease spread ultimately, better care.
