摘要: SUMMARY: The effect of thallous acetate has been examined on the growth 23 strains lactobacilli representing 13 different species. All grew satisfactorily in both broth and agar media containing 0.1% acetate. Of 18 other organisms also streptococci was unsuppressed, staphylococci, a micrococcus, B. licheniformis Pr. mirabilis were partially inhibited Bact. coli, cereus, Chr. prodigiosum Ps. fluorescens almost completely by that concentration. By its use valuable selective medium for isolating from natural habitats mixed flora obtained, organisms, with exception streptococci, being eliminated.
