摘要: Dinoflagellates, a major class of marine eukaryote microalgae composing the phytoplankton, are widely recognised as producers large variety toxic molecules, particularly neurotoxins, which can also act potent bioactive pharmacological mediators. In addition, similarly to other microalgae, they good polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), important precursors key molecules involved in cell physiology. Among PUFA derivatives prostaglandins (Pgs), physiological mediators several and pathological processes humans, used “biological” drugs. Their synthesis is very expensive because elevated number reaction steps required, thus search for new Pgs production methods great relevance. One possibility their extraction from microorganisms (e.g., diatoms), have been proved produce same humans. present study, we took advantage available transcriptomes dinoflagellates iMicrobe database biosynthetic pathway using bioinformatic approach. Here show that express nine Pg-metabolism related enzymes both reduction. Not all were expressed simultaneously species analysed expression was influenced by culturing conditions, especially salinity growth medium. These results confirm existence these unicellular than diatoms, suggesting broad diffusion conservation pathway, further strengthen importance living organisms.
