摘要: Despite continuing technological advancement in hazard and vulnerability assessment, risk modelling mitigation techniques, losses to disasters associated with natural hazards continue some cases are increasing across Europe worldwide. This paper focuses on the need bridge gap between technical solutions sociopolitical contexts which these produced, better understand create more effective management regimes. We do so application of science–policy co-production frame landslide Italy. The methodology deployed included a desk study informed by semi-structured interviews carried out selected key stakeholders at national, regional municipal level. propose normative analytical framework for transferring into research presenting matrix identifying four within may unfold. is based two axes, distinguish innovation its absence science policy domains. examine several examples co-production, such as water–soil integrated approach or implementation hazard/risk assessment. results highlight that insulation from institutional context knowledge produced used very problematic issue. often hinders desirable policies undermines effectiveness interventions. Moreover, does not automatically result successful management. Finally, confirm utility but also methodological challenges introduction this new conceptual paradigm well-structured communities scientists policy-makers.
