摘要: Modern cryptographic protocols are based on the premise that only authorized participants can obtain secret keys and access to information systems. However, various kinds of tampering methods have been devised extract from conditional systems such as smartcards ATMs. Arbiter-based physical unclonable functions (PUFs) exploit statistical delay variation wires transistors across integrated circuits (ICs) in manufacturing processes build keys. We fabricated arbiter-based PUFs custom silicon investigated identification capability, reliability, security this scheme. Experimental results theoretical studies show a sufficient amount inter-chip exists enable each IC be identified securely reliably over practical range environmental variations temperature power supply voltage. realizable well suited build, for example, key-cards need resistant attacks.
