摘要: Over 10 years have passed since the first Sox gene was implicated in melanocyte development. Since then, we discovered that SOX5, SOX9, SOX10 and SOX18 all participate as transcription factors affect key melanocytic genes both regulatory modulatory fashions. Both SOX9 play major roles establishment normal function of melanocyte; has been shown to heavily influence development melanogenesis adult. Despite these advances, precise cellular molecular details how SOX proteins are regulated interact during stages life cycle remain unknown. Improper regulation or is also associated with cancerous transformation, thus understanding will be revealing contribute melanoma.
