摘要: Mitochondria play an essential role in maintaining energy homeostasis and cellular survival. In the brain, higher ATP production is required by mature neurons for communication. Most of mitochondrial proteins transcribe nucleus import mitochondria through different pathways protein machinery. This machinery plays a crucial determining morphology functions biogenesis. Failure this any alterations during biogenesis underlies neurodegeneration resulting Alzheimer's disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's (PD) etc. Current knowledge has revealed such as translocase outer membrane complex, presequence pathway, carrier β-barrel assembly review, we have discussed recent studies regarding machinery, beyond well-known effects increased oxidative stress bioenergetics dysfunctions. We elucidated detail how these types help to locate precursor their specific location inside major further discuss involvement dysfunctioning induction toxic aggregates neurodegenerative diseases like AD PD. The review supports importance neuronal its association with aggregated impairment, suggesting critical fostering therapeutic response.
