摘要: The atmospheric electric conductivity measurements made over the Indian Ocean with a Gerdien's apparatus mounted aboard MV Polarbird during XVI Scientific Expedition in 1996–1997 are reported. Simultaneous three-hourly of aerosol concentrations 13–1000 nm size and some meteorological parameters also Latitudinal variation along cruise route shows minimum at ∼28°S. Further, variations 10°N–20°S 60°–70°S latitudinal belts show opposite trends on outward return cruises, which fall near to onset withdrawal phases northeast monsoon season, respectively. results explained basis well-known northward shift subsidence leg southern Hadley cell position Intertropical Convergence Zone months March–April this region observations cyclonic systems continent Antarctica period cruise.
