摘要: Abstract The photocatalytic degradation of Brilliant Green (BG, Bis(4-diethylaminophenyl)phenylmethylium chloride), a cationic dye, was investigated in an irradiated TiO2 aqueous dispersion. In this study, order to obtain better understanding on the mechanistic details TiO2-assisted photodegradation BG dye with UV irradiation, four intermediates process were separated, identified, and characterized by HPLC-PDA-ESI-MS technique. results indicated that N-de-ethylation took place stepwise manner yield mono-, di-, tri-, tetra-N-de-ethylated species generated during processes. featured competitive reactions between cleavage chromophore ring structure at different pH values. However, most all, higher rate acid observed for dyes triphenylmethane TiO2-mediated experiments first time. These should be useful future applications treatment technology pollution.
