摘要: The evaluation of pavement conditions is an important part management. Traditionally, condition data are gathered by human inspectors who walk or drive along the road to assess distresses and subsequently produce report sheets. This visual survey method not only time consuming costly but more importantly it compromises safety field personnel. With automated digital image processing technique, however, distress analysis can be conducted in a swifter safer manner. Pavement captured on images which later automatically analysed. Furthermore, improve objectivity, accuracy, consistency data. research aimed at development Automated Imaging Program (APIP) for evaluating condition. program enables longitudinal, transverse, alligator cracking classified. Subsequently, will estimate crack intensity used rating severity. Advancement photogrammetric technology creates opportunity overcome some problems associated with manual methods. It provide low-cost, near real geometrical imaging through photogrammetry without physically touching surface being measured. Moreover, workstation (DPW) user-friendly, less tedious represented as ortho-image, overlay contour well elevation model. algorithms developed this study found capable identifying type its severity level accuracy about 90% when compared traditional method. show that combination approach APIP viable system evaluations.
