摘要: Trypanosoma cruzi P21 protein (P21) is a putative secreted and immunomodulatory molecule with potent bioactive properties such as induction of phagocytosis actin cytoskeleton polymerization. Despite the described so far, action on parasite replication in muscle cell lineage or T. parasitism during acute experimental infection unclear. We observed that recombinant (rP21) decreased multiplication C2C12 myoblasts, phenomenon associated greater polymerization IFN-γ IL-4 higher expression. During infection, lower cardiac nests, inflammatory infiltrate fibrosis were mice infected treated rP21. These results correlated large expression counterbalanced by high levels IL-10, which was consistent tissue injury found these mice. have also upon stress, induced presence cytokine, produced more P21. The effect controlling cruzi, may indicate an evolutionary mechanism survival developed parasite. Thus, when subjected to different stress conditions, protozoan produces P21, induces latency host organism, enabling evade host's immune system.
