摘要: We introduce a simple and efficient algorithm for diffusion in smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) simulations apply it to the problem of chemical mixing. Based on concept turbulent diffusion, we link diffusivity pollutant local physical conditions can thus resolve mixing space time. our prescription evolution an idealized supernova remnant find that model distribution heavy elements without having explicitly hydrodynamic instabilities post-shock gas. Instead, dispersal is implicitly modelled through its dependence velocity dispersion. Our method be used any SPH simulation investigates but lacks necessary resolution small scales. Potential applications include enrichment interstellar medium present-day galaxies, as well intergalactic at high redshifts.
