Islands of equilibrium in a dynamical world

摘要: Many natural, technological and social systems are inherently not in equilibrium. We show, by detailed analysis of exemplar models, the emergence equilibrium-like behavior localized or nonlocalized domains within non-equilibrium as conjectured some real systems. Equilibrium shown to emerge either abruptly gradually depending on system parameters disappear, becoming indistinguishable from remainder for other parameter values.
