Performing strategy: Aligning processes in strategic IT

摘要: Alignment is perceived to be a desirable aim in IT projects – by improving the fit between technology and aims of organization. Our study departs from previous literature looking at this issue as more dynamic contextually localized phenomenon emphasizing quality use term “aligning”. We take performative view conceptualizing doing strategy, context implementing new based self-service check-in kiosk system UK airport Adopting single qualitative interpretive case research approach, we observed conceptualize three distinct processes aligning information systems: decoupling, reframing repackaging. The draws on recent work repositioning systems alignment process knowledge creation exploration.
