摘要: [1] The quality and quantity of dissolved organic matter (DOM) exported by Arctic rivers is known to vary with hydrology this material plays a fundamental role in the biogeochemical cycling carbon at high latitudes. We highlight potential optical measurements examine DOM across hydrograph rivers. Furthermore, we establish chromophoric (CDOM) relationships (DOC) lignin phenols Yukon River model DOC loads from CDOM measurements, former excellent agreement long-term monitoring data. Intensive sampling historically under-sampled spring flush period highlights importance time for total export particularly lignin. Calculated riverine Ocean show an increase previous estimates, especially when new higher discharge data are incorporated. Increased indicate decreased residence times terrigenous important implications reactivity Atlantic Ocean.
