摘要: Aliphatic crystallites, characteristic of the eicosane and docosane components naturally occurring lipids, were found to form microtextures that structured by specific interactions with ordered graphite (HOPG) used as underlying substratum, confirmed scanning electron microscopy (SEM) fast Fourier transform (FFT) analysis. Confocal laser (CLSM) showed highly directed bacterial alignment for two species (spherical rod-shaped), reflecting preferential orientation crystallite-air-water interfaces give linear triangular patterning. The mechanisms attachment are demonstrated in terms balance between effective radial adhesional forces capillary resulting from water contact angle bacteria at three-phase line (TPL) lipid surface. It is suggested these microtextured surfaces, which exhibit ability limit adhesion a precise patterning TPL, could be means controlling colonization.
