摘要: The strength of rod inputs to ganglion cells was assessed in the macaque retina at retinal positions within 3-15 deg eccentricity. experimental paradigm used temporally modulated heterochromatic lights whose relative phase varied. This provided a sensitive test detect input. In parvocellular (PC) pathway cells, gain cone-driven signal decreased with decrease luminance. At 2 td weak response, few impulses per second for 100% modulation, revealed about 60% cells. For blue-on response also illuminance, but no could be found. magnocellular (MC) input much more apparent. Responses became dominated and below 20 td; we cannot exclude intrusion higher illuminances. Responsivity maintained even low Temporal-frequency dependent rod-cone interactions were observed MC-pathway Rod responses longer latency than cone responses, there evidence any difference between pathways.
