摘要: The behavior of steady siphon flows along thin, arched magnetic flux tubes in the solar atmosphere is discussed, with particluar attention to case “flexible” photosphere, where plasma beta order unity. Qualitative features subcritical and supercritical are illustrated by simple isothermal flow an external atmosphere. More realistic flows, including representations temperature-stratified atmosphere, radiative transfer energy between tube its surroundings, variable ionization fraction also discussed. jump conditions for adiabatic shock a analyzed some detail. Siphon have been detected intense photospheric arching across neutral line on Sun. offer most plausible explanation Evershed effect sunspots. Recent observational theoretical evidence concerning siphon-flow model
