摘要: Citizen science websites and mobile applications are credited for their ability to engage members of the public in enhance scientific literacy, while operating as a cost-effective, geographically vast data-collection tool. Recruiting participants, tailoring online platforms users’ needs harnessing community values key creating successful, sustainable citizen project. However, few studies have conducted detailed examination recruitment experience when trying build an engaged active audience assess wildlife diseases Australia. The present study aimed determine most effective methods recruit continue citizens use tool called WomSAT (Wombat Survey Analysis Tools). Various marketing techniques were employed participants. A survey was also disseminated gain feedback on understand driving factors behind participation. Participation project driven by collective desire help learn about wombats. Preliminary distribution data collected suggest that contains necessary elements enable it be important monitoring wombats disease. Continuation will support research fostering conservation messages amongst Australian community.
