Departures from the Hauser-Feshbach theory due to the level-level correlations in deformed nuclei

摘要: Abstract A microscopic dynamical model is used for the inelastic scattering of nucleons by deformed nuclei and fluctuation cross sections are calculated. The case weak absorption in all channels considered so that number statistical assumptions minimized. results compared with Hauser-Feshbach expressions as regards magnitude structure. partial width amplitudes calculated from correlated, simplest type level-level correlations being due to similar-channels effect (SCE). When SCE alone, following two obtained, (i) increased over estimates, Γ ⪡ D ⪢ , a factor κ if entrance exit similar. numerical value found be 3 special general it conjectured lie between limits 1 3, (ii) σ cc ′ f ″ exhibit correlated fluctuations c cases “SCE+direct channel-channel coupling” “SCE+intermediate structure” also investigated. In studied direct reaction do not vanish channelwise factorization assumption theory fails.
