摘要: The wild boar (Sus scrofa) is a medium-sized ungulate that produces large variety of marks. Traditionally, wallowing an activity has fundamentally been related to several processes such as thermoregulation, reduction in the number ectoparasites or disinfection wounds skin males resulting from fights reach females. In this study, I analysed another possible function free-ranging populations when temperatures are low and parasitic numbers not significant. results indicate during sampling time, October February, boars with mud layer on their was 47, out total 558 analysed. Of these 47 boars, 44 were within group, 40 individuals adult males. wallowed bigger older than non-wallowed hunted at same time. addition, found mainly autumn (90.9% all cases). analysed, did notice other hunting day. On hand, analysis females’ reproductive systems indicated rut period took place last days first November. From results, coincidence maximum could be indicative sexual activity.
